We all need good news these days! I had to take this opportunity to share with you the exceptional news about 13 seniors from Prince George's County Schools. Four of the thirteen students are from our communities in District 8! This would be newsworthy any year, however being honored during a pandemic is notable. Our youth have persevered numerous challenges and excelled!
Join me in Congratulating the 13 seniors from Prince George's County Public Schools who won full scholarships! The awards come from The Posse Foundation, a nationwide organization that sends students with excellent leadership potential to one of its affiliated colleges. Shout out to District 8 scholarship winners, Posse Scholars, from Oxon Hill High School and Friendly High School! We are so proud of the distinguished scholars!
