Greetings District 8 Neighbors,
We were only six days in the New Year, still sighing from the end of 2020 and looking forward to better days. Then yesterday, our hearts cringed, as we witnessed our country's democracy being threatened. I learned of this debacle, while attending the first day of our County Council Retreat. Watching the coverage of this disgraceful behavior has been difficult on many levels. True healing will only come from honest recognition and willingness to change the divisiveness that our country has had for years. I pray that this quote from Gandhi. "Be the Change You Wish to See in the World" is something that we all commit to, in our personal and professional lives for our fellow men, women and especially for our children.
