District 9 Community,

District 9 Antioch Baptist Church Food Drive

On Friday, November 20, from 5:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., please join Council Member Sydney Harrison and Purposeful Living and Giving (nonprofit), at Antioch Baptist Church’s Food Bank, Annual Food Collection Drive. Accepting donations of can goods and nonperishable food items. The community is coming together to assist those in need, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will be held at 9107 Pine View Lane Clinton, MD. On Friday, November 20, from 5:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., the food drive will be broadcasted and featured on WJLA Channel 7 Morning News.

River Jordan's Thanksgiving Turkey Food Box Giveaway

On Saturday, November 21, starting at 10:30 a.m., please join Council Member Harrison, for the River Jordan Project's Thanksgiving Turkey Food Box Giveaway, at the River Jordan Project Empowerment Center, 15809 Livingston Rd. Accokeek, Md.

District 9 Thanksgiving Food Box Giveaway

On Sunday, November 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Council District 9 office will partner with Purposeful Living and Giving, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc (Gamma Pi Chapter), Tree of Life Christian Ministries, and Project Give Back for the Thanksgiving Food Box Giveaway! Each box will contain a turkey and all the holiday fixings, enough to feed a family of four. While supplies last, this contactless event is first come, first served.

 

The event will be held at the Tree of Life Christian Ministries, 9109 Piscataway Rd. Clinton, Md. Please see the attached flyer for additional details.
