Maryland Provides Legal Support for Families Facing Eviction

Throughout the pandemic, the House has been a strong advocate for individuals facing eviction. House leaders held hearings, heard testimony from residents and have urged the Governor to extend the eviction moratorium and do more to keep Maryland families housed. I am proud to announce that Attorney General Frosh and Governor Hogan will provide nearly $12M to the Maryland Legal Services Corporation to help provide residents facing eviction with legal support. The House remains committed to keeping residents in their homes and will continue to fight for Maryland families at such a critical time.
