COUNCIL WEEK DEDICATED TO PREPARATION FOR FY 2020 BUDGET ADOPTION

There were no meetings of the Prince George’s County Council this week, as the Council and the Legislative Branch budget team prepared for the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget Adoption.  In accordance with the County Charter, the Council, as the County’s fiscal authority, must approve a new balanced spending plan on or before June 1st.  Currently, Budget Adoption is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29th.  The Council thanks every County resident who participated in the Council’s Budget Review Process that began after County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks transmitted her proposed FY 2020 County Budget to the Council in March, and we encourage your continued engagement in Council processes.  Budget information is available on the Council’s FY 2020 Budget Portal.
