In Honor of Women's History Month Sharon Moore Jackson Appears on The Thornton Business Hour, TODAY!

Tune in to WOL 1450 AM today, at 11:00 a.m. for The Thornton Business Hour. In honor of Women's History Month Pat will interview Sharon Moore Jackson, Acting Executive Director of the Supplier Development Diversity Division, in the Office of Central Services. Pat and Sharon will discuss new initiatives and programs that support small businesses. 

Prior to assuming her current position Ms. Jackson served as the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Compliance and Outreach Manager for the State of Maryland Governor's Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA). She also managed and led the O'Malley-Brown Administration's premier outreach initiative, MBE University, first launched in Prince George's County in 2009.  

Supplier Diversity is an inclusion initiative that links private businesses with diverse suppliers of goods and services. SDDD provides outreach and advocacy for local, small, disadvantaged, minority and veteran-owned businesses in or seeking to do business in Prince George's County, maintains a County Based Business Certification register, which provides preferential opportunities for local businesses, and provides training and educational opportunities.
