Tonight, October 21, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the Prince George’s County Council will host the “Economic Development – Preparing for the Economic Opportunities over the Next 10 Years” Town Hall meeting focusing on opportunities for economic development in Prince George’s County. The Town Hall meeting, which is the third in a series of offsite, evening and community meetings, will be held at Oxon Hill High School, 6701 Leyte Drive in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
This Economic Development Town Hall will feature presentations from the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Economic Development and Public Infrastructure, Victor Hoskins; the Director for the Office of Central Services, Roland Jones; the President and CEO of Economic Development Corporation, Gwen McCall; and President and CEO of FSC, Shelly Gross-Wade. Additional presenters include Greater Prince George’s Business Roundtable President and CEO, M.H. Jim Estepp; Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, David Harrington; and Prince George’s Community College Vice President for Workforce Development and Continuing Education, Joseph Martinelli. A host of other County officials and agency representatives will also be available to provide information and resources.
Residents will have an opportunity to provide testimony before the County Council. This event is free and open to the public. Live streaming will be available at http://townhall.mypgc.us.
