A Message from the County Executive
Today, I delivered my 100 Days Address to Prince Georgians, highlighting the incredible work of Prince George’s County Government since my inauguration as County Executive on June 19, 2025. In these past 100 days, my administration has hit the ground running to “Elevate Prince George’s” by delivering on five major promises: unifying government, beautifying the County, investing in economic drivers, delivering a first-class education system, and creating strategic public safety engagement. These were the promises I made and are real things that can improve the quality of life for the people of Prince George's County.
Soon after my inauguration, I made appointments to my cabinet that I knew would deliver for Prince George's County. These leadership appointments are the driving factors that guide our agencies and improves the quality of service you receive. Read more about some of my key appointments here.
Before I stepped into office, I heard many complaints about the service and timeliness of PGC311 and of unkept streets and neighborhoods riddled with trash and overgrown foliage. After stepping into office, we soon launched Project Elevate with the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) and discovered a backlog of 27,000 requests in the Office of Community Relations PGC311 system, with requests dating back years. We acted immediately, and with 1 million dollars from my budget, we stood up Strike Force 311 to address and clear the backlog in 60 days. Read more about Strike Force 311 and Project Elevate here.
So far, I am nothing short of amazed at the progress we have made in elevating Prince George’s County and the overwhelming response we have gotten from Prince Georgians rediscovering pride in the County we all call home. In the phrase “Elevate Prince George’s”, we recognize the strong foundation that was created here and the opportunity that we will take to continue to nurture that foundation to grow and expand into the beautiful County we deserve. Read more about my first 100 days here. Please follow our journey on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and Nextdoor.
Yours with gratitude,
Aisha N. Braveboy
