ENERGY STAR Certification and Green Leasing Grant

Is your Prince George's County building ready to become an ENERGY STAR certified leader? Imagine benefiting from lower operating costs, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and an enhanced appeal for tenants. The ENERGY STAR Certification and Green Leasing (ESGL) Grant can help turn that vision into reality.

This program provides reimbursements to owners of qualifying multifamily buildings (with two or more units and at least 80% occupancy) and commercial buildings (10,000 square feet or larger with at least 55% occupancy) built before 2016 that are served by PEPCO or Washington Gas and enrolled in the EmPOWER program. You can reap the rewards by implementing energy conservation measures (ECMs) that achieve ENERGY STAR certification.

Whether you need assistance covering the costs of energy audits and assessments or are ready to upgrade to more efficient electric or natural gas systems, the ESGL Grant can provide up to $150,000. Don't miss this chance to invest in your building's future.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Contact the Prince George's County Department of the Environment at EnergyStarCGL@co.pg.md.us or 301-883-5810 today to learn more and start your journey toward ENERGY STAR certification. Please download the Guidance Document and the Fillable Application to begin your application.
