Maybelle the Pig Breaks the Internet
|
In January, a plea was placed on Facebook to have a shelter favorite, Maybelle the pig, find a barn to call home. Maybelle was a resident of the shelter since December and the staff could not fathom why Maybelle had not received an adoption application.
To reach a larger audience, Maybelle's plight was posted on Facebook and within 24 hours her post garnered over 300 shares, over 300 reactions, and over 100 comments. Because of the community’s support, Maybelle found her new home the next day!
Thank you to the Lewis family for opening your home and heart to our sweet Maybelle!
