Prince George's Proud: An Update From County Executive Alsobrooks
Dear Prince Georgians:
Native American Heritage Month is an opportunity for the nation to join together to honor and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of Native Americans and Indigenous peoples. It is also a time where we acknowledge their significant contributions and achievements to our history, society, and culture. We are so proud of the rich diversity of our County, and we are excited to once again celebrate and officially proclaim November 2024 as Native American Heritage Month in Prince George’s County.
Join us throughout the month for a variety of events and activities designed for the whole family to honor the rich culture and heritage of our Native American community in Prince George’s County and beyond. We encourage you and your family to take part in these celebrations and embrace the spirit of this special month.
We are also proud to join the nation in celebrating Veterans Day! Each year, we recognize and honor our veterans for their courage, commitment, and dedication to serving here at home and around the world. We want our veterans to know that we will always remember their sacrifice in serving our County and our nation. With gratitude, we thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to protect our great nation.
Yours in Service,
Angela Alsobrooks Prince George's County Executive
