Pickup to Start at 5 a.m.
With temperatures rising and expected to remain high throughout the coming weeks, the Department of the Environment has adjusted its waste collection hours.
Beginning Monday, July 15, through Monday, September 30, residents are asked to place their trash and recycling carts at the curb by 5 a.m. on their regular collection day.
This time adjustment is for workers' safety to avoid waste collection during the hottest times of the day. Residents should note that services may be delayed throughout the day while workers navigate the high temperatures.

In May, we announced the expansion of our Clear the Curb waste collection services to include:
- New monthly electronics recycling and scrap metal collection
- An increase in bulky trash items
- A new collection service date for some residents
Residents should be assured that all missed collections will be serviced promptly and that they should leave their items at the curb once an online missed collection is reported through PGC311.
Residents who missed the virtual meeting on the County's new waste collection services can watch the recorded session on YouTube.
