2023 State of the County Budget Address
Dear Prince Georgians,
This Wednesday, March 15, at 12:00 PM, I will deliver a State of the County Budget Address to officially unveil our fiscal year (FY) 2024 proposed budget. I’m excited to discuss some of the key priorities we are funding in this budget, which will help us improve critical government services for residents, grow our local economy, and position our County for long-term success.
This year, we have some difficult choices to make. With the new legal obligations we have to fulfill under the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future (Kirwan), as well as the impact of rising costs due to inflation, our upcoming budget is very tight. However, we have listened to the concerns of Prince Georgians and put together a proposed budget that is people-centered, improves quality of life, and helps us build a County that is prepared to weather any storm in the future.
I hope you will tune in to this budget address online, as we share more about how we are using your tax dollars in a way that is smart and disciplined, building on the successful investments we have made these past four years.
