Summer is Not Over

Do not leave dogs alone in parked vehicles!

Although we think of the month of September as the beginning of Fall, the temperatures are still hot. It is important to remember to not leave your dog alone in a parked vehicle. Not only is it illegal, but your dog could suffer a fatal heat stroke.

Too Hot

Today is National Iguana Awareness Day

National Iguana Day is celebrated each year on September 8 to bring awareness to this mysterious and exotic reptile.

Iguanas make great pets for reptile lovers, but they require extra special and sometimes expensive care. Iguanas are not pets you can play or bond with like you can with a cat or dog, but they are fun to watch, easy to feed and can live up to 20 years in captivity.

Owning an iguana as a pet can be expensive because they need a special cage and some can grow large. In addition, they have specific lighting, humidity and temperature needs.

Pet iguanas are not recommended for kids because iguanas do not like to be handled or touched. For more about Iguanas visit National Iguana Day.
