Distribution Update

Dear Prince Georgians,

  • The Prince George’s County Health Department and the Office of Emergency Management continue to distribute at-home rapid COVID-19 test kits at designated locations each week, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). KN95 masks are also available at these locations.
    • Two test kits and/or two masks will be distributed per person ages 2 years or older present at the time of pick-up. The test kits and masks are free, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Residents will be required to show proof of County residency to receive a test kit or mask. Examples of proof of residency include, but are not limited to, a driver’s license, utility bill, or lease agreement.

  • The Prince George’s County Health Department and the Office of Emergency Management also continue to distribute adult-sized KN95 masks at multiple locations Countywide, while supplies last. County residents are eligible to receive two KN95 masks per person present at the time of pick-up.

  • The County Health Department has provided over 219,000 vaccinations, including more than 1,400 during the first half of February.
  • During the first half of February, our mobile units have provided over 1,500 vaccinations in the community.
  • Over 400 initial pediatric doses for ages 5 to 11 years and over 700 second pediatric doses were given to County residents during the first half of February. In addition, over 1,200 additional or booster doses were provided during the first half of February.

While the County Health Department now operates only one standing vaccination clinic in the County, in addition to nine mobile vaccination units, there are a number of vaccination sites available in Prince George’s County that are not operated by the County. Please remember that we do not manage nor control appointments or distribution for any sites besides those operated by our County Health Department.

Progress Toward Vaccination Goals

COVID Data Percentage 2.18
  • Over 1,445,700 vaccinations have been provided to 656,373 County residents, including 541,411 second doses and 252,131 additional doses.
  • As of February 18, the CDC has reported 95% of adults ages 18 and older have received at least one vaccination in the County, and 81.9% are fully vaccinated.
  • When including all residents ages 5 and older, 91.4% of residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 77% are fully vaccinated.  
  • The CDC reports 43.6% of residents ages 18 and older who are fully vaccinated have received a booster or additional dose as of February 18.
  • Approximately 27.6% of County residents ages 5 to 9 years and 58.8% of County residents ages 10 to 19 years are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
