Prince George's County COVID-19 Vaccination and Rapid Test Kit/KN95 Distribution Update
Dear Prince Georgians,
- The Prince George’s County Health Department and the Office of Emergency Management are now distributing adult-sized KN95 masks at multiple locations Countywide, while supplies last. County residents are eligible to receive two KN95 masks per person present at the time of pick-up.
- KN95 masks are free, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Residents will be required to show proof of County residency to receive a test kit. Examples of proof of residency include, but are not limited to, a driver’s license, utility bill, or lease agreement.

- The Prince George’s County Health Department and the Office of Emergency Management continue to distribute at-home rapid COVID-19 test kits at designated locations each week, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). KN95 masks are also available at these locations.

- The White House is also now providing free rapid at-home COVID-19 test kits. Every home in the U.S. is now eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. Individuals must provide a name and residential mailing address to order tests. Tests will ship through the mail within 7 to 12 days of ordering, with no shipping fees. Individuals can order tests here.
- The County Health Department’s COVID-19 testing site at the Bunker Hill Fire Station is now open on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, in addition to Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, on a walk-in basis only. Free rapid and PCR testing will be available to County residents, regardless of insurance coverage.
- The County Health Department also continues to operate a COVID-19 testing site at the Temple Hills Community Center Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, on a walk-in basis only, in addition to supporting testing sites at the First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville and the Roseu Medical Center in Laurel.

- In collaboration with the County Health Department, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) continues to host free COVID-19 vaccination clinics at elementary schools.
- County residents ages 5 and older can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at these clinics, including booster doses for individuals ages 12 and older. Schedule an appointment here.

- The County Health Department has provided over 216,000 vaccinations, including more than 8,000 during the month of January.
- During the month of January, our mobile units have provided over 4,000 vaccinations in the community.
- Over 1,100 initial pediatric doses for ages 5 to 11 years and over 1,800 second pediatric doses were given to County residents during the month of January. In addition, over 3,600 additional or booster doses were provided in January.
- We continue to see an increase in vaccinations at County-led clinics due to additional doses provided, including third doses needed by immunocompromised residents and booster shots to increase immune response, as well as the recent authorization of booster doses for youth ages 12 to 15 years.
 While the County Health Department now operates only one standing vaccination clinic in the County, in addition to nine mobile vaccination units, there are a number of vaccination sites available in Prince George’s County that are not operated by the County. Please remember that we do not manage nor control appointments or distribution for any sites besides those operated by our County Health Department.

- Over 1,417,500 vaccinations have been provided to County residents. 649,829 County residents have received at least one dose of a vaccine.
- As of February 4, the CDC has reported 95% of adults ages 18 and older have received at least one vaccination in the County, and 81.2% are fully vaccinated.
- When including all residents ages 5 and older, 90.4% of residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 75.8% are fully vaccinated.
- The CDC reports 41.6% of residents ages 18 and older who are fully vaccinated have received a booster or additional dose as of February 3.
- Approximately 22.6% of County residents ages 5 to 9 years and 56.9% of County residents ages 10 to 19 years are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
