Prince George's County COVID-19 Vaccination Update
Dear Prince Georgians:
- I’m happy to announce that we hit a new milestone in our vaccination efforts for everyone to be Proud to be Protected from COVID-19. Earlier this week we surpassed 200,000 total vaccinations provided to residents, and now we are almost at 250,000 total vaccinations provided to residents.
- I also want to highlight the number of older adults that have been vaccinated from our pre-registration list. So far, 69.9% of all seniors 85 and older, 74.5% of seniors ages 75 – 84, and 72.2% of seniors ages 65-74, that have pre-registered with the county Health Department have received at least one dose of vaccine. We continue to prioritize our older adults as they pre-register, so please make sure the seniors in your life are pre-registered so we can get them vaccinated.
- As a reminder, the County recently moved to scheduling vaccine appointments for individuals on our pre-registration list who are eligible in Phase 2A of the vaccine distribution plan. Individuals in Phase 2A include adults 60 years of age and older.
- Given the increase in vaccine supply, the County will likely start to move more quickly through our pre-registration list. Those in later phases will likely not have to wait as long to receive their vaccine. Therefore, I encourage you to do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 by pre-registering today for your vaccine appointment by visiting mypgc.us/ProudtobeProtected.
- Please remember that only individuals who live or work in Prince George’s County should pre-register with our County Health Department. In addition, all County Health Department vaccination clinics are open by appointment only. Walk-ups are not accepted.
- Our Health Department finished comparing our pre-registration list with lists of County residents who have been vaccinated outside of our County Health Department. More information about our pre-registration list is below, but nearly half of County residents that have pre-registered with us have now been vaccinated.
- Finally, the Sports & Learning vaccination clinic reopening will have to be pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances. All appointments at the Sports & Learning clinic on March 29th and March 30th will be relocated to another site and/or rescheduled to the nearest possible open appointment. If you had an appointment for that date at the Sports & Learning clinic, please check your email, including your Junk/Spam folder.

- Last week our Health Department provided over 8,900 vaccinations, including nearly 7,600 first doses.
- This week we have already provided over 6,900 vaccinations.
- To date, the County has received 83,660 vaccines, and has administered 72,934 of those doses (approximately 87.2%). This metric (percentage of vaccine administered) changes day to day as new vaccine shipments come in and the number of second dose vaccines waiting to be given are administered in the days ahead.
- We are scheduled to receive 8,790 first and single doses next week. We have been informed that we will receive at least that many first and single doses each week through the week of April 19.
 In order to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through the Prince George’s County Health Department, individuals who live or work in the County must fill out our pre-registration form.
- Over 213,000 pre-registrations have been received as of March 25 (over 187,000 are County residents).
- 57% of County residents who have pre-registered are eligible in Phase 1.
- Over 90,000 County residents on the pre-registration list have already been vaccinated (48.2%).
- We are still prioritizing scheduling individuals in Phase 1.
 While the County Health Department currently operates five vaccination clinics in the County, in addition to three mobile vaccination units, there are a number of vaccination sites available in Prince George’s County that are not operated by the County. We encourage you to sign up at these other sites to increase your options to receive a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
Please remember that we do not manage nor control appointments, or distribution for any sites besides those operated by our County Health Department.

Appointments: Individuals who live or work in Prince George’s County should fill out the pre-registration form to be added to the waiting list. Individuals who cannot fill out the pre-registration form online should call 311 and press # for assistance.
Six Flags America Theme Park & Other State Vaccination Sites (Not County-Operated)

Appointments: Sign up for appointment updates at mass vaccinations sites by texting MDREADY to 898-211. Visit covidvax.maryland.gov for more information.
- Older adults in Phase 1 can call the Maryland Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MDGOVAX (1-855-634-6829) to schedule vaccine appointments at mass vaccination sites. The call center is open seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM. The Vaccination Support Center is specifically designed to assist older adults and residents without Internet access.
- Those who have signed up with the County Health Department’s pre-registration list may receive appointments through this site. The County provided the State with 31,000 names from its pre-registration list.

Dates: Currently, the clinic is scheduled to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 16 – June 30, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Dates and times are subject to change as FBCG seeks to accommodate more members of our community.

Appointments: The First Baptist Church of Glendarden vaccination clinic is operated in partnership with University of Maryland Capital Region Health. Appointments can be made by visiting umms.org/GetTheVaccine or calling the State of Maryland COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MD-GOVAX (1-855-634-6829).
- As of March 25, over 242,000 vaccines have been provided to 176,551 County residents, with 65,671 residents having received their second vaccination.
- There are an estimated 728,050 residents ages 16 and older, the minimum age for vaccination.
- Our goal is to have 473,232 residents vaccinated by this summer, or 65% of this population and 80% by this fall.
- We are at 37.3% of our summer goal. Last week we were at 30.3%.
