Prince George’s County Enters Phase 2A for Vaccine Distribution

Dear Prince Georgians:

Today I announced that we will be moving forward with scheduling vaccine appointments for individuals on our pre-registration list who are eligible in Phase 2A of the vaccine distribution plan. Individuals in Phase 2A include adults 60 years of age and older. We still continue to prioritize seniors in Phase 1 who have not been vaccinated yet.

I’m also pleased to say that given the increase in vaccine supply, those in Phase 2A and later vaccine distribution phases will not have to wait as long for their vaccine. I’m encouraging everyone to make sure you’re pre-registered so you can join the growing number of Prince Georgians in being Proud to be Protected from COVID-19.

As a reminder, individuals who live or work in the County must fill out a pre-registration form in order to receive a vaccination appointment with our County Health Department by visiting mypgc.us/ProudToBeProtected. No walk-ups are being accepted at our Health Department vaccination sites.

I also want to encourage eligible individuals in Phase 1 who have not yet pre-registered with the County Health Department to do so at mypgc.us/ProudToBeProtected. Individuals in Phases 2 and 3 should also fill out the pre-registration form. When the County enters future phases of vaccine distribution, those individuals that have pre-registered will receive a notification that they are able to make a vaccine appointment online.

Please continue to do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask, staying six feet apart from others, and pre-registering for your COVID-19 vaccine appointment. The sooner we can get most of our residents vaccinated, the sooner we can defeat this pandemic once and for all.

Yours in Service,

Angela Alsobrooks
