Prince George’s County Enters Phase 1C
for Vaccine Distribution

Dear Prince Georgians:

I am pleased to announce that today we will move forward with beginning to schedule appointments for individuals on our pre-registration list who are eligible in Phase 1C of the vaccine distribution plan. Our vaccination rates have increased significantly over the past several weeks, and I’m encouraging everyone who is in Phase 1C to make sure you’re pre-registered so you can join the growing number of Prince Georgians who are Proud to be Protected from COVID-19. Seniors will continue to be prioritized for vaccination.

As a reminder, individuals who live or work in the County must fill out a pre-registration form in order to receive a vaccination appointment with our County Health Department. You only need to pre-register once with our Health Department. No walk-ups are being accepted at Health Department vaccination clinics.

Individuals eligible in Phase 1C include:

  • Adults 65-74 years of age
  • Individuals receiving treatment in a hospital (including hospital outpatient centers) AND diagnosed with at least one of the following conditions:
    • Cancer patients in active treatment
    • End-stage renal disease patients requiring renal dialysis
    • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
    • Solid organ transplant recipients
    • Sickle cell disease patients
    • Diabetic patients (type 1 and 2)
  • Health and human services workers not covered in Phase 1A such as:
    • Public health workers
    • Lab services
    • Vaccine manufacturing
    • Departments of Aging, Social Services, Human Services
    • Veterinarians
  • Public safety workers not covered in Phase 1A
  • Essential workers at high risk of exposure
    • Food and agriculture workers
    • Grocery store workers
    • Postal service workers
    • Public transit workers
  • Clergy and religious leadership

In addition, I want to encourage individuals in Phases 1A and 1B who have not yet pre-registered with the County Health Department to do so at http://bit.ly/PGCVaccineForm. Individuals in Phases 2 and 3 are also able to fill out the pre-registration form. When the County enters future phases of vaccine distribution, those individuals that have pre-registered will receive a notification that they are able to make a vaccine appointment online.

I want to thank those who have signed up to be vaccinated for taking the opportunity to get this life-saving vaccine, and I want to encourage those of you who have not yet pre-registered to sign up as well. This has been a long ordeal for us all, but we are getting closer to defeating this pandemic once and for all. When your turn comes, I urge you to get the vaccine so you can protect your family, loved ones, friends, neighbors and fellow Prince Georgians.

Yours in Service,

Angela Alsobrooks
