Award-winning Ivy City Smokehouse Coming to Prince George’s County

Dear Prince Georgians:

I am Prince George’s Proud to announce that Ivy City Smokehouse, a restaurant listed on the Michelin Guide in DC, is coming to Prince George’s County!  They will open a location in the revitalized Hampton Park Mall in Capitol Heights.

Ivy City Smokehouse is the exact kind of restaurant that we have been missing in Prince George’s County, with high-quality food and live entertainment.  The groundbreaking for the Hampton Park Mall project is scheduled for September 13, 2019.

Attracting businesses and retail like Ivy City Smokehouse has been a key priority of our administration, and this is just the latest success we have seen over the last few months.  Far too often, Prince Georgians go to neighboring jurisdictions to seek out restaurants, shopping and entertainment.  That is changing, and we will ensure that these amenities are available right here in our own communities.

This announcement is an important step in our goal to bring even more high-quality restaurants and retail to Prince George’s County that our residents have demanded for far too long.  Prince George’s is open for business, and this latest success will provide another reason for even more businesses to consider investing in our County.

If you would like to learn more about our announcement, please read the article that was published in the Washington Post here.  You can also view a short video of our announcement with the Ivy City Smokehouse owners here.

I am excited about the future of Prince George’s County, and I look forward to sharing more good news with you soon.

Yours in service,

Angela Alsobrooks
