No Yard Waste Collection on Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd

In honor of Labor Day, all County offices will close, except public safety agencies. 

Yard waste collection will resume Monday, September 10th.

You're invited! Join us as we celebrate the 100th year of Anacostia National Park, with a summer concert on the lawn on Friday, August 31st, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and all day fun in the park on Saturday, September 1st, from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m

Enjoy early morning group fitness classes, fishing lessons, live music, a disco skating party, scavenger hunts and much more at the Anacostia Park Birthday Bash! View the full party schedule here.

Rain Barrel Sale and Recycling Event

We're at it again!

DoE has partnered with the City of Mount Rainier, the Mount Rainier Green Team and Rain Water Solutions to offer another opportunity to purchase rain barrels at a discounted rate! County residents can apply for a Rain Check Rebate, making the barrel virtually free!

Discounted rate is available until September 10th, and can be picked up at the September 15th, Mount Rainier workshop

Don't forget to bring your e-waste and #6 foam items (packing peanuts, food containers, block packaging, coolers, etc.), which can also be dropped off when you pick up your rain barrel!
