Clear the Shelters Pet Adoption Event

Every year, Prince George’s County Animal Services Facility partners with NBC and Telemundo-owned stations, and hundreds of shelters across the nation for the annual “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption event. 

When: Saturday, August 18 | 10 AM – 4 PM 
Where: Animal Services Facility | 3750 Brown Station Road | Upper Marlboro | MD

Many animals have been spayed/neutered, are up-to-date on vaccinations and adoption fees are waived. County residents adopting a pet are required to pay a $5 licensing fee.

The NBC4/Allstate Community Shred returns to Prince George’s Community College, Largo Campus on Saturday, August 25th., from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Your car MUST be in line by 11 a.m. in order to receive service.  There is a FOUR-box maximum per each personal car.

Anacostia Park Turns 100!

You're invited! Join us as we celebrate the 100th year of Anacostia National Park, with a summer concert on the lawn on Friday, August 31st, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and all day fun in the park on Saturday, September 1st, from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m

Enjoy early morning group fitness classes, fishing lessons, live music, a disco skating party, scavenger hunts and much more at the Anacostia Park Birthday Bash!

Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program Accepting Applications

The Prince George’s County Government and the Chesapeake Bay Trust announce the fifth year of our partnership to support projects throughout Prince George’s County that aid the community while treating and controlling stormwater. The goal of this program is to improve communities, improve water quality in the County’s waterways, and engage County residents in stormwater issues.
