County Executive Baker running with members of the Prince George's Police Department.
We are off and running in the New Year. Our team is preparing for the opening of the 2016 Legislative Session, which convenes January 13 in Annapolis, Maryland. In the coming weeks, look for updates to stay abreast of our efforts and progress during the 436th session of the General Assembly.
The County's Budget Season is also underway and public hearings will be held (dates to be announced) to solicit your input as we prepare to submit our proposed FY2017 budget to the County Council.
On a lighter note, I know that many of you have made resolutions for 2016 that will enhance your life. Whether you're starting a new exercise routine, seeking a new job, starting a new business, improving your health and fitness, going back to school or volunteering in the community, there are numerous resources in the County that can help you make 2016 the best that it can be. Visit the county website for resources or call 311 for assistance to locate the agency or department that can help you reach your goals.
