Prince George’s County Announces Independence Day Office Holiday Closures

Prince George’s County government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2015 in observance of Independence Day.

LARGO, MD – The following Prince George’s County Government services and facilities will be closed or suspended on Friday, July 3, 2015

The Department of the Environment (DoE):

Animal Services Facility (located at 3750 Brown Station Road)	**Will open on Thursday, July 2 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  (Please note this is a change in regular hours of operations)** Closed on July 3 and July 4
Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill	Closed
Brown Station Road Public Convenience Center	Closed
Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site (Located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill	Closed
Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site (Located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill)	Closed
Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center Prince George’s County Yard Waste Composting Facility Bulky Trash Collection (by appointment only)	Closed   ​Closed  No Collection (Collections will resume on July 6)
Trash Collection in County-Contracted Areas	No Collection (Collections will resume on July 6.  If July 3 is your normal trash collection day, your trash will be collected on July 7).

The Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT):

TheBus, under the administration of the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not be operational on Friday, July 3, 2015 in observance of Independence Day.  In addition, the County’s Call-A-Bus, including senior transportation services, will not be operational on Friday, July 3, 2015.  Normal route services will resume on Monday, July 6, 2015.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE):

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2015.  Normal business hours will resume on Monday, July 6, 2015.

 Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1:

Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2015 and will return to normal operations on Monday, July 6, 2015.  However, residents may still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com.
