Coming Soon: Maryland Comptroller's Office Will Send MSDE Payment-Related Tax Documents
Tax season is approaching! As you collect documents to file taxes for your child care business, such as 1099 forms related to payments received from MSDE, please note that they will come from the Maryland Comptroller's Office.
Be sure to check the Comptroller's Office site for updates about when to expect these documents: marylandtaxes.gov.

Join us for the open office hours of the Child Care Scholarship program! Our MSDE staff members are ready to assist both enrolled families and dedicated child care providers with any questions about applications, payments, or managing a Scholarship account.

Check Out Weather Safety Resources
As Maryland gets hit with cold weather this winter, make sure the children in your care stay safe with weather safety guidance from the Office of Head Start. The National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety offers tips to keep children, child care program staff, and families healthy in both winter and summer.
Plus, make sure you check out the Child Care Weather Watch tool to understand how wind chills, heat indexes, and other factors affect how comfortable it feels for a child and how weather can impact outdoor activities.
