Medication Administration Training
The OCC Medication Administration Training content has updated with new forms 1215, and 1216s. The training covers COMAR requirement related to Medication Administration, Storage, Documentation, and Disposal, Exclusion for Acute Illness, Communicable Diseases Reporting and Individualized Attention and Care for Children with Special Health Care Needs with Resources for Training and Referrals. The approved Registered Nurses provide the training and the trainer list can be accessed from Medication Administration Approved Trainers
The child care providers needing annual clock hour training may choose to retake this training to meet 6 clock hours training requirement.

Licensing Inspection Survey
There is now a Licensing Inspection Survey that is being emailed to you after each inspection for you to provide feedback regarding the customer service during your inspection. Be sure to check your Spam folder if you do not receive your inspection report and/or the survey link. You may also scan the QR code with your phone.

Spring Into Inclusion: Head, Heart, and Nature Handwork
Warmer temperatures are upon us. We are finally mitten-free! Let’s get those little fingers moving with nature-connected handwork. We will explore how handwork in spring provides physical and mental support for ALL children. We will explore diversity, equity, and inclusion through developmentally appropriate fine motor practices which provide hand muscle strength, visual motor skills or hand-eye coordination, and opportunities to differentiate for all who need extra support in your program.

Strengthening Business Practices
BCCCRC is excited to announce a training series that is just for directors. Strengthening Business Practices for Child Care Programs is a 4-module series, that will be presented by Audrey Cupe-Green and Patty Aburn, Baltimore City’s MSDE Quality Assurance Specialists. The training will cover topics such as sound fiscal management, marketing, recruiting staff and staff retention. The cost is only $20.00 for all 4 modules!
