There is now a Licensing Inspection Survey that is being emailed to you after each inspection for you to provide feedback regarding the customer service during your inspection. Child Care Scholarship Customer Service Notice
Child Care Scholarship (CCS) Branch now offers Extended Customer Service Hours for Families.
CCS Central 2 and Maryland Family Network are the primary contacts for families in need of customer service support. Families can reach CCS Central 2 at 1-877-227-0125 or Maryland Family Network at 410-659-7701. After families have reached out to the above contacts, families can contact MSDE’s Extended Customer Service Office Hours - if they need additional support. MSDE staff will confirm that the customer submitted a inquiry form to CCS Central 2 or worked with a Family Resource Specialist (FRS) prior to providing support.
Please share the attached Customer Service Steps with your current and future families.
MSDE Extended Customer Service Hours for Families are Tuesday – Thursday from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Maryland EXCELS is looking for NAFCC-accredited Family Child Care Providers to participate in an interview with other providers who wish to know more about the accreditation process. Interviews are conducted monthly via Google Meet and earn 1 Professional Activity Unit for the accredited provider.

Strengthening Business Practices
BCCCRC is excited to announce a training series that is just for directors. Strengthening Business Practices for Child Care Programs is a 4-module series, that will be presented by Audrey Cupe-Green and Patty Aburn, Baltimore City’s MSDE Quality Assurance Specialists. The training will cover topics such as sound fiscal management, marketing, recruiting staff and staff retention. The cost is only $20.00 for all 4 modules! The series will be held from 5 pm-8 pm on the following dates: Tuesday, February 7; Tuesday, February 21, Tuesday, March 7; Tuesday, March 21. (COK: 12 hours Professionalism)

Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)Train-the-Trainer Training
This training includes the science of the developing brain and what happens to the brain when negative childhood experiences occur. The goal of the training is to create a multitude of skilled, informed, presenters who will be able to promote the widespread awareness of the negative effects of toxic stress, that often stem from ACEs and how to best address them.
