Credential Applications must be sent directly to Child Care Central using one of the following methods:

Attend an Office of Child Care Information Session. Each month a branch will share news and updates. Submit any questions or comments you have during the registration process. Answers will be provided during the Listening Session or emailed to you directly.

All sessions are 6:00-7:00PM

Review Updates to Maryland Accreditation Standards

Attention all Maryland Accreditation participants: Updates have been made to Standards 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 that will go into effect on 1/1/2023. Please review the updated requirements for evidence and documentation in your binder and download the new Staff Qualification Forms. 0-to-3 Training Flyer

Zero to Three 45 Hour Critical Competencies Training for Infant Toddler Educators

Great News: The Zero To Three Critical Competencies 45-hour course is now being offered for ONLY a $50 registration fee. MSDE in conjunction with Maryland Family Network, will be covering the course for those who want to participate (normal cost is over $400). A session starts on January 12th and ends on April 20th. The sessions will be held virtually on Thursday from 6:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. Contact Dr. Carlena at carlenavaden@yahoo.com.

Child Care Scholarship Customer Service Notice

Effective December 1, 2022, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Division of Early Childhood, Child Care Scholarship (CCS) Branch will offer MSDE Extended Customer Service Hours for Families who have “Used the Link” or have reached out to a Family Resource Specialist (FRS) without success.

CCS Central 2 and Maryland Family Network are the primary contacts for families in need of customer service support. Families can reach CCS Central 2 at 1-877-227-0125 or Maryland Family Network at 410-659-7701. After families have reached out to the above contacts, families can contact MSDE’s Extended Customer Service Office Hours - if they need additional support. MSDE staff will confirm that the customer “Used the Link” or worked with a Family Resource Specialist (FRS) prior to providing support.

Please share the attached Customer Service Steps with your current and future families. MSDE Extended Customer Service Hours for Families are Tuesday – Thursday from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The number is 1-855-435-7410 (1-855-HELP-410).
