Governor's Child Care Stabilization Grant Program
The Maryland State Department of Education will soon open the application window for a third round of Child Care Stabilization Grants. MSDE will distribute $50 million in funding, made available through the state, to child care programs in Maryland. As in rounds 1 and 2, MSDE is providing a new system of supports to assist providers with the application process. The funds will help address the financial burdens and operational challenges faced by child care providers during the COVID-19 public health emergency. Please check our website in the next few weeks.
An announcement will be made and emails will be sent to all licensed providers when the grant opportunity is available.
The balance of any unutilized funds made available from providers not seeking a Round 2 grant award will be distributed to all grant-awarded providers evenly, per licensed slot. MSDE has begun distributing these remaining funds. Providers that received Round 2 funds will automatically receive these funds, no action is required by providers.
