Maryland Family Network (MFN) opportunities for trainers or those interested in becoming trainers!
For those interested in becoming an approved trainer by MSDE for the child care community, one of the requirements is to complete a training of trainers specific to adult learning. MFN is pleased to offer the Responsive Training Symposium (more informally known as the Training of Trainers or TOT) to support the expansion of skilled trainers throughout Maryland for the early care and education community. This 3-module (split into 6 sessions) series covers a wide range of knowledge and skills necessary to become a skilled trainer. The next series is scheduled to begin March 3, 2022 and is open for registration.

Programs earn Additional Achievement badges, which are highlighted in their online profile on the Maryland EXCELS website. When using the website’s “Find A Program” feature, prospective families can easily identify programs that have attained Additional Achievements, which are: Accredited Program, Asthma & Allergy Friendly, Eco-Friendly Program, Cultural and Linguistic Competency, Health and Wellness, and Quality Business Practices.
