Asthma, Allergy and Anaphylaxis Prevention and Management Training

A 4-clock hour training qualifying under Core knowledge of Health, Safety, and Nutrition, provided by the OCC approved Registered Nurse (RN) Trainers.

The training is intended to help the participants acquire relevant knowledge and skills to ensure Asthma and Allergy safe (Trigger free) childcare environment, and identify and manage Asthma and Allergy emergencies as per the child’s treatment/action plan and OCC COMAR requirement. Successful completion of this training may also qualify Maryland EXCELS participating programs to receive a Maryland EXCELS additional achievement.

This Year’s theme is Child Care Is Essential Business. MSDE leaders and esteemed state legislators will provide comprehensive updates. Participants will also have an opportunity to participate in breakout sessions that will focus on business issues.
