Compassion means we care about others, treat them with kindness, and feel a strong desire to help people in need. Self-compassion is good for us, and for our children. When we are kind to ourselves, it is easier to be kind to others. When you are kind to yourself, you can cope with stress better, and protect your child from stress.
Tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, oh my! It’s the spring planting season and the perfect opportunity to start a healthier lifestyle. Teach children the value of growing their food by planting a family veggie garden.
Research shows the first five years of a child’s life build an important foundation for how children succeed in school and life. Choose child care that engages with your family, is respectful of your culture and language, is sensitive to your child’s unique needs, and promotes a love of learning.
