Community Roundtables

COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLES

The Division of Early Childhood invites you to a community conversation to gather input on programs and services that support children birth through age five and their families.

Each session will run from 9:30am to 12:00pm. Sessions at each location will include the same content and activities.

A light breakfast will be served.

September 6, 2019 -  Frederick County

September 13, 2019 - Talbot County

September 16, 2019 - Prince George's County

September 17, 2019 - Baltimore City

Good attendance in child care, preK & K builds academic and social skills for the future.

Early Matters: Integrating Attendance into Kindergarten Transition offers strategies, resources & success stories about transition practices to help children & families as they enter elementary school. It has sections aimed at schools, preschools, and community agencies, and also outlines how districts, community partners and policy makers can put in place systems to promote the widespread use of these practices. Registration for Basic Health & Safety Course

The FREE September training will run September 3 at 9:00am  through September 23 at 9:00am.

Registration for the October course will be open

is helping families in need by collecting 500,000 diapers by the end of Diaper Need Awareness

Molly Denali

Ready to Learn Television:
Introducing Molly of Denali!™

PBS KIDS launches a new program titled Molly of Denali™. Molly of Denali is an action-adventure comedy that follows the adventure of feisty and resourceful 10-year-old Molly Mabray, an Alaska Native girl. Molly of Denali is the first nationally distributed children’s series in the U.S. to feature an Alaska Native lead character.
The show aired its first episode on July 15.

The Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) Division of Early Childhood has partnered with WIDA Early Years to offer a series of professional learning opportunities and resources designed for early care and education practitioners, coaches and leaders throughout the state.
