The Office of Child Care has posted the DRAFT Child Care Subsidy Regulations. There will be a public hearing on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
The hearing will be held at the Maryland State Department of Education, 200 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, 8th floor, Conference Room 4.
Please contact Tara Bartosz at tara.bartosz@maryland.gov to sign up for the hearing. All participants will be allotted four (4) minutes to speak and provide feedback on the regulation changes.

The Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund (CCCPDF) is a tuition assistance program for child care providers to obtain a college education at participating colleges/universities in Maryland. Funding is available for child care providers to earn a college degree in the following areas:
- Early Childhood Education
- Child Development
- Elementary Education
- Special Education

Early Matters: Integrating Attendance into Kindergarten Transition offers strategies, resources & success stories about transition practices to help children & families as they enter elementary school. It has sections aimed at schools, preschools, and community agencies, and also outlines how districts, community partners and policy makers can put in place systems to promote the widespread use of these practices. In partnership with B’more for Healthy Babies, the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is helping families in need by collecting 500,000 diapers by the end of Diaper Need Awareness Week September 23-29, 2019.

Child Care Scholarship Reimbursement Rate Changes
Beginning July 1, 2019, the reimbursement rate of the CCS increased to the 30th percentile of the 2019 Child Care Provider Market Rate Survey.
