Maryland was recently awarded a $10.6 million birth through five grant to strengthen the State’s early care and education system. Please join State and community leaders to learn more about the grant, as well as new programs and initiatives. Earn one Professional Activity Unit (PAU) for attending. Register here.

  • On Saturday, April 13, 2019, join Harford County’s Department of Community Services for the Second Biennial Harford County Youth and Family Resource Festival from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Harford Community College. Register here.

Join the Maryland State Department of Education’s Division of Early Childhood and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC®) to celebrate the early learning community during the Week of the Young Child™ (WOYC) from April 8 – 12! 

Sponsored by NAEYC, the WYOC is an opportunity to highlight the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early care and education providers who meet those needs. During the weeklong celebration, early care and education providers are encouraged to work with and provide information to parents and families on the importance of high-quality early learning experiences. The Judith P. Hoyer Center Early Learning Hubs, also known as “Judy Centers,” benefit everyone in Maryland by improving the quality of life for families. They help prepare children from birth through kindergarten for school readiness and offer comprehensive, integrated, full-day, and full-year early care and education services. Watch here (Video).
