Summer 2017 Partners

The Summer 2017 issue of PARTNERS Newsletter is out today. PARTNERS is currently distributed to the licensed child care community and early care and education agencies four times per year. The newsletter highlights the Division of Early Childhood Development (DECD) news/updates, current events and trainings, and informs providers of the latest in rules/laws and regulations.

The Summer issue includes important information regarding Basic Health and Safety Training for child care providers that go into effect at the end of this year. It also includes the latest news from every branch in DECD and news from our partners throughout the state.

Get Engaged: Family Engagement Toolkit is Now Available

The Early Childhood Family Engagement Framework Toolkit: Maryland’s Vision for Engaging Families with Young Children is now available online and includes links to various resources. The toolkit offers strategies for early childhood educators and providers to effectively engage their families with young children. 

The toolkit was created from The Early Childhood Family Engagement Framework: Maryland’s Vision for Engaging Families with Young Children and was designed to support all early childhood educators and providers as they implement the goals of the Family Engagement Framework.
