FY26 HEECAP Grant Programs Released Today! |

FY26 Healthy, Efficient, Electrified, Climate-Adapted Pilot (HEECAP) Homes Grant Program: (Launched on March 11, 2026 and closes on April 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM). The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Office of Grants Management (OGM) are soliciting grant applications from eligible nonprofits for the County’s FY 2026 Healthy, Efficient, Electrified, Climate-Adapted Pilot (HEECAP) Homes Grants Program. A maximum of $1,000,000 in total grant funding will be made available (for approximately two to five grant awards) to retrofit income-eligible houses for energy efficiency, a healthy indoor environment, climate resilience, and all-electric appliances. The grant performance period is anticipated to cover a twelve (12) month period, from June 3, 2026 to June 2, 2027, with the possibility of renewal. Individual awards are expected to range from $100,000 to $400,000. DEP and OGM will hold a virtual Information Session on the date indicated below to give eligible and interested applicants the chance to ask questions about the solicitation and receive guidance on how to complete the application.

Due to significant differences in State requirements, DEP and OGM are issuing a separate NOFO for Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) portion of the FY26 HEECAP Grant Program. Organizations may apply for both opportunities.
