Rally for Inclusive Education

On Tuesday, I joined fellow Marylanders at the Supreme Court to rally in support of our diverse community.

Our schools teach children essential skills like reading, writing and arithmetic; they also teach them how to be good neighbors and members of society. Montgomery County families come from all over the world – we may speak different languages, practice different religions or have different identities, but we all want to live, work and learn in safe and healthy communities. We cannot opt out of coexistence.

Regardless of what the Supreme Court decides in Mahmoud v. Taylor, we will continue to be a community that respects everyone, no matter who you love or how you identify.

C&O Canal

The C&O Canal Trust plays a crucial role in preserving the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal, one of our nation's most treasured historical and natural landmarks. From maintaining trails to restoring historic structures, their work helps ensure this 184.5-mile gem remains a place of beauty, education and recreation.

Huge thanks to the dedicated volunteers and hard-working National Park Service who give their time and energy to keep the park clean, safe and thriving. Whether it's picking up litter, clearing trails or planting native species, their impact is felt every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who participated in C&O Canal Trust Volunteer Day!

Congratulations to the Montgomery County Police Department’s training academy graduates!

This is an impressive group of individuals who are ready to serve and protect residents across Montgomery County. We thank them for their dedication to our community.

Faith & Community Partnership Awards

The second annual Interfaith Works’ forum on Faith & Community Partnerships was just what my soul needed.

By focusing on housing, education, the environment and food insecurity, Interfaith Works is continuing to build strong relationships that support our most vulnerable residents.

A strong social safety net benefits our entire community.

Small Things Matter Food Pantry

Small things add up to big things. Thankfully we have an entire team of volunteers helping Small Things Matter provide food for our neighbors who are experiencing hunger.

There's something so special about seeing the smiles on people's faces when they receive fresh, healthy food — it really reminds me of the power of kindness and community.

Constituent Corner

A Rockville resident wrote to me about a dead tree in their neighborhood. She was concerned about it falling during a storm, but hadn’t been able to get it removed because it wasn’t on her property. My team contacted the county arborist, who assessed the tree and promptly removed it.

If you need help navigating local government, fill out this form and my team will assist you.
