 Saturday, June 15, 2024, is WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY.
Tomorrow, Tuesday June 11, 2024, State’s Attorney John McCarthy will be the keynote speaker at the 14th Annual Older Adult Safety Forum in Montgomery County. It's open to the public and attendees will benefit from up-to-date information from public officials, learning about recent scams, and available resources. There will be activities including a yoga session and free lunch (while supplies last).
Maryland also has a new initiative, Longevity-Ready, signed into law by Governor Moore in January 2024, to enhance planning and collaboration to increase opportunities for older Marylanders to age safely in the setting of their choice.

While many of our neighbors continue to clean up from storm damage following the tornadoes that touched down last week, some are being approached by contractors.
Please remember to call at least three licensed companies to compare quotes if you are in need of repairs or yard work.
