Congratulations to our Student Video Contest Winners

The S.A.O. held our inaugural Speak Up, Save a Life Student Video Contest. This contest challenged teenagers to create an original video to promote awareness about the dangers of illicit opioids, fentanyl and risk of overdose. The video contest was open to all 6th - 12th grade students living in Montgomery County. Top prize was $1,000, second place $750, and third place and fan favorite winners received $500 all donated by The Magnolia Companies in honor of two young Montgomery County residents lost to fentanyl; Michael Pisarra and Matthew Loudon. Hundreds of middle and high school students participated. We thank MCPS for their partnership and look forward to our second annual contest in the fall of 2024.
