Project Prom Dress Giveaway Taking Place Saturday, April 15
Prom can be one of the most memorable events for high school students, but it can also be a financial hurdle. Montgomery County Recreation is combatting this obstacle with the second annual “Project Prom Dress” giveaway event, which will be held Saturday, April 15, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center in Burtonsville.
During the event, any high school student with their school I.D. will be able to shop and select an item for free! Throughout February and March, gently used and new dresses, suits and accessories were donated from the community and then subsequently dry cleaned. A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated.
WPGC 95.5 FM is a co-sponsor for Project Prom Dress. Poet will broadcast live from the event and serve as host and celebrity personal shopper for the students.
