Spring Program Registration Underway
Registration for spring programs is underway. Spring programs and activities are tailored to a variety of interests, skill levels and ages. Offerings include aquatics, fitness, sports, visual and performing arts, therapeutic recreation, adult 55+ programming and more. There are hundreds of programs available that promote an active, healthier lifestyle.
Applications are currently being accepted for Recreation's financial assistance program, Rec Assist, which provides eligible County residents with $200 per eligible family member to use toward Recreation programs and activities.
Registration for 2023 summer camps is also underway at activemontgomery.org. Montgomery County Recreation camps offer a broad range of summer programs located throughout the County.

Last Call for Centenarians! Submit Your Information
In May, Montgomery County Recreation will celebrate County residents ages 100 and older (or who will turn 100 in 2023).
If you know someone who resides in Montgomery County, is 100 years or older (born no later than 1923) and would like special recognition, please fill out this online form or contact us at rec.seniors@montgomerycountymd.gov to register. Please include the centenarian’s name and address and the contact person’s name, email and telephone number.
The deadline to complete a submission is March 10.
Montgomery County Recreation is Hiring!
We're hiring! Montgomery County Recreation offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals ages 15 and up who are interested in working in recreation programs and services located around the County.
Featured Position: Recreation Specialist (Community Outreach) The Department is seeking dynamic and experienced full-time Community Outreach Recreation Specialists, whose creativity and knowledge can be demonstrated in a wide range of services. These individuals will direct outreach and liaison with residents and organizations in the County. Responsibilities include representing Recreation at community events, planning and executing events, activities and programs, and data collection. Experience in community outreach, communications or marketing is a plus.

Donate to Project Prom Dress
Montgomery County Recreation is collecting gently used and new dresses, suits and accessories that students will be able to choose from as part of the “Project Prom Dress” giveaway event on Saturday, April 15, at Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center in Burtonsville.
Now through March 15, dresses, suits and accessories can be donated at Praisner CRC, located at 14906 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville, during business hours.
Once collected, dresses will be dry cleaned and displayed in a special formal boutique held at the center. Any high school student, just by showing their school I.D. card, will be able to “shop the racks” and select one for free from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on April 15.Learn more.
Bloom at Good Hope Concert Series is Back!
A free spring and summer concert series at the Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center in Silver Spring will return this year in partnership with Bloom by Strathmore. The Bloom at Good Hope concert series will begin Saturday, March 11, with Standards Reimagined with Christie Dashiell.
The scheduled lineup for the concert series is:

Saturday, Aug. 12: An Evening of Urban Latin Music with Chris Urquiaga
All concerts will start at 5 p.m. Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center is located at 14715 Good Hope Rd. in Silver Spring.

These are registration dates for County residents. Registration for non-County residents will open two days after the initial registration. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.
ICYMI Swim and Dive METROS
Swim and Dive METROS took place at Germantown Indoor Swim Center in February. More than 2,000 people visited the facility to watch the fierce competition.
There were five meet records set during METROS for:
Boys 200 IM: Toby Barnett, Rockville HS, tied record, 1:47.21
Boys 100 Fly: Adriano Arioti, Georgetown Day, 47.32
Girls 100 Free: Erin Gemmell, Stone Ridge, 48.19
