Montgomery County Recreation To Host Summer Employment Job Fairs

Montgomery County Recreation (MCR) is hiring part-time seasonal employees to work during the 2022 summer season. Numerous positions are available for aquatics and summer day camp staff. The following teams have openings: aquatics, community recreation facilities, senior services, youth development, sports, therapeutic recreation and more.

There will be two job fairs held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.  

On Sunday, April 24, a third job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center located at 11701 Georgia Ave. 

Priority be given to candidates who have registered for an interview slot ahead of time. on the Recreation interview scheduling website. Walk-in in-person interviews will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants who are unable to attend the job fair can apply for open positions on the County’s Office of Human Resource website.

“I started my highly satisfying career path with MCR as a seasonal staff,” said MCR Director Robin Riley. “I encourage anyone interested in a service job, that makes a difference in the lives of others, to consider joining the MCR team.”

Part-time/seasonal pay is $15 an hour and increases based on experience. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
