Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by members of the County Council, members of the Montgomery County Board of Education, Department of Health and Human Services and the Montgomery County Police Department at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23, in front of the Executive Office Building main entrance, to announce the launch of an interagency partnership to address school safety and student well-being.
The Reimagining School Safety and Students’ Well-Being Initiative is a collaboration between the County Executive and Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). The Reimagining Students’ Safety and Well-Being initiative will rethink and reshape public safety in our schools and provide the best social and mental health support for our students. The interagency committee will lead the implementation of a holistic approach to reimagining safety and mental health supports in MCPS.

Public parking is available on the lower level of the Council Office Building garage at the corner of Monroe and Jefferson streets and other local-area parking lots and garages.
