Rockville, Md., Mar. 19 2021—Council President Tom Hucker will be joined by Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen for a media briefing to discuss the American Rescue Plan on Monday, March 22 at 11 a.m.
Sen. Van Hollen will provide an overview of the American Rescue Plan and outline key provisions in the relief package that will benefit Montgomery County residents and local government.
Council President Hucker will share how the American Rescue Plan impacts the County’s recommended Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2022.
In addition, Council President Hucker and Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz will discuss the new Board of Health regulation, including guidance for youth sports, and provide an update on progress being made on Montgomery County’s new vaccination location at Montgomery College’s Germantown campus.
Montgomery County Health and Human Services Director Dr. Raymond Crowel will join the media availability and provide a Covid-19 public health update.
