My mask protects you. Your mask protects me. Together, with physical distancing, we can stop the spread.
In these uncertain times, we all need to protect ourselves and each other. That‘s why I am asking everyone who lives and works in Montgomery County to wear a face covering while out in public.
Based on newly released guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is my recommendation, and firm belief, that if you need to go out in public – to the grocery store, pharmacy, farmers market, a workplace – you should wear a face mask.
However, please keep in mind that masks are not advised for children under two years of age or for individuals with difficulty breathing.
A face covering can be homemade but your mouth and nose should be covered.
Masks are not a substitute for physical distancing. Please continue to stay home as much as possible. You can go out for walks and exercise, but please wear a face covering while maintaining a six-foot physical distance.
This is how we beat this virus. Wearing a face covering and keeping a physical distance is how we stop the spread of the virus. If we all do this together, we will stop the spread.
And remember; my mask protects you, your mask protects me.
