Job Search Training Program for those who are 50+
Are you over age 50 and frustrated by your job search? JCA’s Career Gateway Program can help you hone your resume, polish your networking and interviewing skills, use Internet job search resources more effectively, and turn your age and experience to your advantage. Each session of the Career Gateway features 30 hours of small-group classroom instruction over five days, comprehensive take-home materials, practical exercises, and a long-term mentor – all for only $75! Sessions run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Optional employment-related tech training available, as well.
Only 1 Session Remaining in FY 2019:
Session VI (June 2019) - June 11, 12, 14, 17 and 19
New sessions will begin, again, in early Fall 2019 (September 2019).

Care for the Caregiver Event: A Day Devoted to Caregiving

This FREE event will inspire, educate and motivate. This day is especially for unpaid family/friend caregivers. By attending you will increase awareness of caregiver’s supports, health and wellness programs and lifelong engagement available in Montgomery County. Learn how to maintain well-being through support, community connections and education programs.
Event highlights include:
* Stimulating presentations that welcome caregiver questions
* Unique caregiver conversations with the County's African, Latino and Asian American health programs
* Networking and support for LGBTQIA+ care partners
* Information Resource Fair featuring (free or low cost) supports available for unpaid caregivers
* Listening Session inviting unpaid caregivers to share their needs associated with caring for a loved-on at home.
