Students Invited to Become Vision Zero Youth Ambassadors

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation seeks high-school students to serve as Vision Zero Youth Ambassadors. Interested students may apply here through Nov. 5.

Selected Youth Ambassadors will have the opportunity to become road-safety leaders in their school and community through this school year. Ambassadors  will attend a special training in January on road safety, cause campaign development, and public speaking. In the spring, Youth Ambassadors will help lead a Vision Zero youth summit and interactive lab, serving as keynote speakers and leading a campaign design challenge with their peers.

The Vision Zero Youth Ambassador Program is a collaboration between the Montgomery County Department of Transportation and National Organizations for Youth Safety, to encourage youth to have an active role in road safety efforts and improvements.

Ambassadors will earn special prizes and incentives for their participation.
