Shop and Play the Easy Way: Montgomery County Car Free Day
Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm

Ride FREE to Black Hills Regional Park or the Clarksburg Premium Outlets courtesy of Montgomery County Department of Transportation! Celebrate Monarch Butterfly Fiesta Day (11:00 am to 3:00 pm), bike with Zagster bikeshare bikes, or boat on beautiful Lake Seneca.

Every 30 minutes, Ride On Extra buses will leave from Shady Grove Metro Station and stop at the Germantown Transit Center, Black Hill Regional Park and Clarksburg Premium Outlets. At Black Hills’ Regional Park, riders can enjoy discounts on boat rentals and pontoon rides until 6:00 pm. Riders to the Outlets will receive a free VIP Membership and Savings Passport offering discounts up to 65 percent off.

Car Free Day is a worldwide event that encourages people to use transit, bike or walk; telework; or join carpools or vanpools. Using more sustainable ways to get around helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and traffic congestion.

Ride On extRa buses offer WiFi, USB ports and comfortable seats. The extRa (Ride On Route 101) is a limited-stop, weekday service that operates every 10 minutes during rush hours between the Lakeforest Transit Center and Medical Center Metrorail Station.  Click here for more information.
