Welcome

A lot is going on here at CUPF and May 1 is a critical date for many community use groups to submit reservation requests. Please take a look at some CUPF highlights below regarding use of Montgomery County Public School facilities. 


May 1, Request Reservations for Summer Use of School Facilities

General reservation requests for use of indoor school facilities during Summer 2017 will be accepted online beginning May 1, 2017. Requests must be submitted via www.ActiveMONTGOMERY.org.


May 1, Request Reservations for Large Events at School Facilities Next School Year (applies to indoor and outdoor events)

The priority submission window for large events opens on May 1 and closes on May 15, for dates of use during the 2017-2018 MCPS school year. All applications submitted during this timeframe will be considered as having been received on May 15.

The term “large event” applies to any event requesting:

a) to have an expected attendance of 500 or more persons, or 
b) use of a school auditorium, regardless of attendance expected, or 
c) use of athletic facilities including gymnasium, stadium, track or field use for tournaments, fundraisers, track meets or other similar events, regardless of attendance expected, or 
d) advanced booking due to size, scope or nature, or 
e) significant set-up, or 
f) extensive audio-visual equipment or services, or 
g) an amount of space or hours of use that requires multiple support staff.

 Applicants must set an appointment to meet with Ms. Carrie King in order to submit an application in-person. Please email Ms. King at carrie.king@montgomerycountymd.gov to arrange a time to meet and submit your application and any other related information. 


NEW: August 15, Request Reservations for Next School Year

Submission dates for the entire 2017-2018 school year use of MCPS indoor facilities have changed from last year. Changes are necessary in order to accommodate the new State mandate designating the first day of school be after Labor Day. There will no longer be two separate submission dates for indoor use during the school year. We have combined them into one single process. Please read carefully to avoid missing out on the earliest possible opportunity to reserve space in school facilities next school year.

General reservation requests of indoor school facilities, including before and after-school enrichment programs, evening use, weekend use, etc. for the 2017-2018 school year will be accepted online via the customer e-portal beginning August 15, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. 

The above date does NOT apply to the following: MCPS administrative use of school facilities, licensed before and after-school childcare (other than extra gym space or evening activities), PTA/ PTSA submissions, government offices, or approved high-volume use permits.

Facility Use Subsidy Program (FUSP)

The FUSP subsidizes facility fees for use of school classrooms, all-purpose rooms/cafeterias, library meeting rooms, the Clarksburg Cottage meeting room, and the District 3 Police Station meeting room. The activity/program must be sponsored by a Maryland-based, non-profit 501(C)(3) organization that primarily serves vulnerable youth or low-income residents receiving financial assistance.
